Galentines

February 10, 2018

Galentines day has moved from fiction to reality with millions of women across the world celebrating the day instead of Valentines.

Galentines came to life when the hit American TV Comedy 'Parks and Recreation' dedicated an episode in 2010 to celebrating women. Character Leslie Knope declared the day before Valentines - 13th feb, as Galentines and threw all of her girl friends a party. Since then the day has increasingly grown in popularity and become part of brands and companies calendars, including ours!

We are all about celebrating women and lifting them up and this is why Galentines is the perfect holiday for us to celebrate as a company!

We think you should celebrate and uplift your girls everyday of the year. We all have those special ones we take for granted, who are always there for us no matter what; when we want to cry, laugh and have a real crazy night - they truly deserve more than one day.

But we are embracing the day to not only make sure that our girls know how much we love and appreciate them but to also reach out to ladies we find inspiring and share love with those we feel need it. It's great getting compliments from other girls and it makes you feel great doing it.

So if you aren't a Galentines girl, maybe this will change your mind. Send a compliment to your favourite gal on instagram, someone you see in the street or an old friend, it will really make their day - plus you never know you may be showered in compliments and love too. Sounds pretty awesome to us!

Lift girls up, don't pull them down.

Lots of Love

Hannah and Vanessa xx
